Kneaded by Lady J began from a love of baking, a passion for creating new recipes, using amazing ingredients and developing better versions of all the breads that we love.
Joyce Bagner Hetherington, known to us as "Lady J", comes from an artist's background. Educated at the School of Visual Arts in NYC where she focused on food photography and raised by an amazing artist and chef, she has merged her passions for artistry and delicious food into her dream. All things food is what she knows and not only is it a deep passion but it keeps her connected spiritually and living through her mother's legacy.
Born and raised in NY and now with a family of her own in NJ, Lady J's passion for food, art, science & history all come together for her through bread.
What We Do
Kneaded is a microbakery of artisanal breads and other specialty items. Our mission is to provide healthy, delicious, beautiful bread in small batches to the local consumer.
